Wer kennt nicht Geschichten der ‚alten Indianer‘? Sie wurden verarbeitet in Filmen, Romanen durch Menschen unserer eigenen Kultur, die sie so wiedergaben, wie sie es am besten verstanden.
In der Tradition des ‚Volkes von Mutter Erde‘ wurden die Geschichten über die Vorfahren und das Mysterium des Lebens nur von Mund zu Mund weitergegeben und Henry Red Cloud möchte dieser Tradition folgen und mit uns Geschichten teilen, die nicht in einem Buch oder im Google zu finden sind.
Henry ist im 21. Jahrhundert noch ein Warrior, ein Krieger, und er hat die Vision, sein Volk unabhaengig zu machen und moechte 12000 Haeuser bauen mit je einer Solaranlage, damit die Menschen in den Wintermonaten nicht frieren. (Lakota Solar Enterprises)
Er bringt auch Gesaenge mit, die zurueck bis zu Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull und viele Andere reichen und kommt, um das alte Wissen und die Weisheit seiner Urvaeter mit uns zu teilen.
Die indianischen Menschen sind die Hueter der Erde und tragen eine grosse Weisheit der Verbindung der Elemente, des Wassers, des Feuers, des Windes und der Erde in sich.
Die Weisheit der alten Zeit mit den Technologien der neuen Zeit zu verbinden, die Erde zu wuerdigen und den Planeten auch noch fuer unsere naechsten Generationen zu erhalten, ist es jetzt an der Zeit, die Menschen zu verbinden, die ‚für die Erde gehen‘.
Wir werden gemeinsam singen, Red Cloud wird uns auf seine Weise mitnehmen und auch die Große Trommel, die vielen bekannt ist, wird uns auf die ein oder andere Weise begleiten. Menschen mit eigenen Handtrommeln sind eingeladen, diese mitzubringen. Es wird eine Zeit geben, in der Red Cloud die Trommeln segnen, und nach Wunsch signieren wird.

This extra newsletter is the result of the special Tour of Chief Henry Red Cloud in May - June 2016 through Europe. He is accompanied by Medicine Turtle and Medicine Sun Turtle Woman, founder of the 1st Native Medicine Academy in Europe "Rebuild the old way". Chief Henry Red Cloud comes as a visionary for us in Europe with an important message. On June 4, 2016, he will also visit the Netherlands.

History
Chief Henry Red Cloud is a 5th generation direct descendant of the famous Lakota Chief Red Cloud, who received a lot of respect during the legendary Native American Wars in the 19th century, even from the White House. Chief Red Cloud, analyzed in a brilliant way the situation at that time, however his people succumbed under the pressure of the new rulers.

The visionary view of Chief Henry Red Cloud
The visionary clear view also characterizes his grandson Henry Red Cloud, who is facing the consequences of the historical development and social hopelessness of the Native Americans. His quest for answers and his own healing are accompanied by the sun. It has a central role in the spiritual life of the Lakota. The solar dance ritual is the most important, at the end of the year. Based on his own background, he is working for a better future for the Lakota community "Pine Ridge". From his visionary view and with respect for "Mother Earth", methods are being developed that can be of a great value in the West. For his work and commitment he received numerous national and international honors and awards over the years, such as the Global Energy Award, which was awarded in Vienna. Bill Clinton and his Foundation support the work of this pioneer, just as president Obama, who supports a scholarship for Henry Red Cloud’s activities. Currently he is the head of one of the few companies owned for 100 percent by Native Americans, the Lakota Solar Enterprise. Based on this company and on many other projects, this creates new opportunities for education and development for the people of Pine Ridge, which would otherwise be virtually impossible.
He admits:
"We cannot change what happened. But we can learn from it, look ahead and move on for our children and for a better world."
Chief Henry Red Cloud makes also the dream come true of his ancestors, by the virtually extinct bison to return to the area around the Black Hills.
"The return of the bison means healing for the Lakota in many ways: spiritually, physically, mentally and also the environment is healthy again."
In addition, Chief Henry Red Cloud will be the guest of honor during his trip to participate in the largest Native American drumming event in Bad Gögging in Germany.

Talking Circle: visitors can ask questions to Chief Henry Red Cloud. Also present are Medicine Red Turtle and Sun Turtle Medicine Woman; together they give a beautiful spiritual understanding with the wisdom that for many generations is told from (grand)father to (grand)son and (grand)mother to (grand)daughter.
Sing and drum session related to the Oglala Lakota tribe by Henry Red Cloud and Cherokee Medicine man Red Turtle. They sing for peace of the Earth.

Voorgeschiedenis
Chief Henry Red Cloud is in de 5de generatie een directe afstammeling van de beroemde Lakota Chief Red Cloud, die tijdens de legendarische Indianenoorlogen in de 19e eeuw- zelfs veel respect vanuit het Witte Huis kreeg. Chief Red Cloud analyseerde op briljante wijze de toenmalige situatie, toch bezweek zijn volk onder de druk van de nieuwe machthebbers.

De visionaire zienswijze van Chief Henry Red Cloud
Deze heldere kijk kenmerkt ook zijn kleinzoon Henry Red Cloud, die geconfronteerd wordt met de gevolgen van de historische ontwikkelingen en de sociale uitzichtloosheid van de Native American. Zijn zoektocht naar antwoorden en zijn eigen genezing worden begeleid door de zon. Deze heeft een centrale rol in het spirituele leven van de Lakota’s. De zonnedans is het belangrijkste ritueel aan het einde van het jaar. Vanuit zijn eigen voorgeschiedenis werkt hij aan een betere toekomst voor de Lakota gemeenschap “Pine Ridge”. Vanuit zijn visionaire zienswijze worden er vanuit respect voor “Moeder Aarde” methodes ontwikkelt, die ook voor ons in het Westen van grote waarde zijn. Voor zijn werk en inzet ontving hij in de afgelopen jaren tal van nationale en internationale onderscheidingen en prijzen, zoals de Global Energy Award, die werd uitgereikt in Wenen. Maar ook Bill Clinton en zijn Foundation ondersteunen het werk van deze pionier, net als President Obama, die met een beurs de activiteiten van Henry Red Cloud ondersteunt. Op dit moment staat hij aan het hoofd van een van de weinige ondernemingen die voor 100 procent in handen zijn van de Native American, de Lakota Solar Enterprise.
Van hieruit, en vanuit vele andere projecten, ontstaan nieuwe mogelijkheden voor onderwijs en ontwikkeling voor de mensen van Pine Ridge, die anders nauwelijks mogelijk waren. Hij erkent:
"We kunnen niet veranderen wat er is gebeurd. Maar we kunnen er van leren, vooruit kijken en verder gaan voor onze kinderen en voor een betere wereld”.
Chief Henry Red Cloud laat bovendien ook de droom van zijn voorouders uitkomen, door de zo goed als uitgestorven bizon terug te brengen in het gebied rond de Black Hills.
"De terugkeer van de bizons betekent voor de Lakota’s genezing op vele manieren: spiritueel, lichamelijk, geestelijk en ook de omgeving is weer gezond."
Daarnaast zal Chief Henry Red Cloud tijdens zijn rondreis als eregast deelnemen aan het grootste Indiaanse drum evenement in Bad Gögging in Duitsland.

Zang en drumsessie verbonden aan de Oglala Lakota stam door Henry Red Cloud en Cherokee Medicine Man Red Turtle. Ze zingen voor Peace of the Earth.

Pine Ridge reservation
Pine Ridge reservation has similar poverty statistics to that of Haiti. The historical context of forced assimilation and economic oppression has left a society reminiscent of a third world country only a five hour drive away from CSU.
As many of you know I and 9 other CSU students have chosen to spend our Spring Breaks visiting this area. The trip will hopefully be full of amazing spaces for cross cultural connection and alternative spring break magic. We have the opportunity to learn about sustainable construction and environmental justice while working with Henry Red Cloud Solar Enterprises a local Lakota business and Trees Water People a Non-profit based out of Fort Collins. The trip will do direct service work including planting trees and other manual labor projects. The trip goals include becoming inspired and inspiring hope. "No one plants a tree for themselves, planting a tree is for the future, planting a tree is believing they have a future"
To do all this our trip is in need of some funding to pay for supplies for our service projects and to allow us to have some amazing once in a life time cultural experiences such as a drum circle and a speaker from the Lakota community. Any little bit helps. We thank you for your time reading this and for any support you can offer.
